Players of the Silent Hill 2 Remake are rewarded for trying to skip playing the game if they feel scared at the beginning of the events. In the beginning of the game, the protagonist James starts from an observation platform overlooking the city, and is supposed to descend the stairs and make his way to Silent Hill, where the adventure begins.
According to Automaton report, players can instead turn right and attempt to leave Silent Hill by walking on a rural road in the opposite direction. If they try this, the game will eventually give them an invisible wall – where there is no escape from facing the horrors of Silent Hill – but at least the players will achieve something for this action.
The No Turning Back Now achievement will be unlocked, with the description: “Try to leave Silent Hill in the observation platform area”.
It is worth mentioning that Silent Hill 2 was released on October 8 on PS5 and PC, and you can read our review of the game here, and here’s the gist:
Silent Hill 2 returns with tension, horror, and excitement as if it never left all those years, with a story that still retains its charm, fun puzzles, improved gameplay mechanics, and a more vibrant and terrifying world that only lacks greater variety in enemies and boss battles.
