After significant updates in the past two months, 343 Industries is back with a new update for their game Halo Infinite, which introduces a third-person perspective for the first time in the series! It seems that this perspective was initially planned for the Battle Royale mode before being canceled. Instead of scrapping the idea of the perspective, the studio decided to release it as a separate mode, as an attempt to re-engage players or attract a new audience, as the game seems to be struggling in this aspect.
When Halo Infinite was released in late 2021, it brought in a lot of players and achieved record numbers. However, due to the weak launch and lack of content, over the months, the game began to lose this player base until we reached the current state of the game, which is unfortunate considering the significant updates and almost monthly fresh content despite the low player numbers. Let’s hope that an update like this (scheduled to release in November) will redirect players’ attention towards the game.
