Promotional Trailer for Square Enix’s New RPG Game Forspoken

The release date for Square Enix’s Forspoken has been significantly delayed by five months, but fans can still enjoy a new trailer.

The video was released during the latest PlayStation State of Play, and while short, it is filled with promising content.

Forspoken is an upcoming action role-playing video game developed by Luminous Productions, a studio previously worked on Final Fantasy 15. The renowned publisher Square Enix described the upcoming title as a “narrative-driven adventure,” where players embody Frey who has the freedom to roam a vast open world.

The game features many typical elements of RPG titles, such as crafting, leveling, and a wide range of magical spells to learn; additionally, players may encounter “Restless Storm” randomly while exploring, an event that spawns hordes of enemies.

The short State of Play trailer showcases the exciting combat of Forspoken, with many gameplay scenes showing Frey’s aerial dodging abilities, as well as various types of dance-based magical spells.

The impressive variety of enemies includes fire-spewing demons, bear-like creatures, massive dragons, and more. Forspoken’s focus on physical combat magic is evident, with few stunning scenes highlighting melee combat weapons.
