Prices of the new generation of GTA 5

Grand Theft Auto 5 and Grand Theft Auto Online will both be available on the next generation PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X next week, but the newly redesigned versions of those games will not be free upgrades. However, both titles will be cheaper at launch – and the standalone PS5 version of Grand Theft Auto Online will be free on that platform for the first three months.

So, how much will Grand Theft Auto 5 and GTA Online cost on the latest Microsoft and Sony consoles?

According to pricing on the Xbox game store, the Xbox Series X version of Grand Theft Auto 5 (including GTA Online) is priced at $39.99. However, the current generation version is offered for $19.99 (50% discount) until June 14th.

The standalone version of Grand Theft Auto Online costs $19.99, but it is also 50% off for the next three months, making it $9.99.

At the PlayStation store, Grand Theft Auto 5 for PS5 is listed for pre-order at just $9.99 (75% discount on its standard price). This discount is also available until June 14th, with GTA Online being free as a standalone download on PS5 during the same window.

Rockstar Games has announced that pre-orders for the PS5 and Xbox Series X versions of Grand Theft Auto 5 and GTA Online are now available. The games will be released on current consoles on March 15th.
