GTA 6 game is still standing out and achieving new milestones even though it has not been released yet, and has not been fully revealed yet. One of the latest achievements of the game is being nominated for the Golden Joystick Awards for video games for the year 2024.
The game has been nominated for the Most Anticipated Title award for 2024, while GTA Online has been nominated for the Best Ongoing Online Game award. This old game continues to succeed and compete for top ranks in the best video games lists on most platforms for almost 11 years.
This nomination for GTA 6 comes at a time when its audience is losing hope of getting new details about the game for the rest of this year. At the same time, this delay in releasing the second trailer for the game, which the audience has been waiting for for over 10 months, is a sign of the game’s postponement.
The game was first revealed through a cinematic trailer in December of last year, 2023, and since then its audience has not received any new information except narrowing down the release timeline to be in the spring of the next year, 2025.
Nevertheless, there are concerns that the game may be postponed to 2026, after the silence maintained by Rockstar without sharing any new details, while some well-known leakers have started talking about an internal delay that may have already happened.
Journalist Jason Schreier, who has great credibility in the video game community, said he contacted 3 developers working at Rockstar and they confirmed to him that there is no talk of postponing GTA 6 up to that moment. However, this does not rule out the possibility of a game delay, especially since we are still a whole year away from the release date.
We expect GTA 6 game to also be nominated for the Most Anticipated Game award at the TGA 2024 Video Game Awards event, which will be held in December. But the most important question remains: will the game succeed in winning this award or will it face stronger competitors on the list of releases for the next year, 2025?
