End of filming for the cinematic movie Until Dawn.

Director of the film Until Dawn announced the completion of principal photography for the film. David F Sandberg posted on Instagram to confirm that the upcoming horror film has finished filming in Budapest, Hungary. The film, which started filming in August, is based on the horror game Until Dawn that was first released on PS4. It is set to be released in October 2025.

The story of the film Until Dawn is written by Gary Dauberman, who also serves as a producer on the project. Dauberman has written for the Annabelle series and contributed to the writing of It and It: Chapter Two. The cast includes Maya Mitchell, Belmont Camille, and Peter Stormare. Stormare will reprise his role from the original game as Dr. Hill.

Sandberg told The Hollywood Reporter:

“I’ve been looking forward to making another horror film after Lights Out and Annabelle: Creation, and this film explores many of the great subgenres of horror to create the scariest experience possible.”

The PS5 version of the game Until Dawn was released this week. The game, redesigned for PS5, includes several new endings that may hint at a sequel.

The game Until Dawn was developed by Ballistic Moon based in Woking, United Kingdom, which announced last month the dismissal of a large number of employees in order to “secure the studio’s future.”.

Ballistic Moon was founded in 2020 by Duncan Kirshaw, Neil Mac Ewan, and Chris Lamb, who all previously worked together at Supermassive Games, the developer behind the game Until Dawn for PS4 in 2015.
