It is a Japanese anime movie based on a manga artist and horror master Junji Ito, creator of classic manga like Uzumaki and Gyo, which was adapted into the anime movie “Gyo: Tokyo Fish Attack” in 2012. The film depicts a girl named Kaori Sawahara and her friends who discover that marine creatures are invading Okinawa with predatory and deadly fish attacking the area, led by a giant white shark. The horrifying attack leaves them stranded and surrounded by killer fish emitting a horrible and nauseating smell, linked to biological experiments conducted during World War II.

Empire of Corpses Horror Anime Movie

The movie, released in 2015, is set in an alternative version of 19th-century England where corpses are regularly revived using a technique called Necroware and employed as labor for industrial advancement. However, rumors spread that Victor Frankenstein possesses a machine that can not only revive bodies but also souls, resulting in complete humanoid creatures instead of lifeless bodies.

King of Thorn Horror Anime Movie

Released in 2010, the movie combines elements of science fiction and monster horror depicting a world ravaged by a deadly virus named Medusa, turning victims into stone. In a last attempt to save humanity, 160 volunteers diagnosed with the disease in its early stages are put into a deep sleep, only to wake up to a facility filled with spiky and terrifying creatures that immediately attack them.

Cat Soup Horror Anime Movie

This short anime movie directed by Tatsuo Sato in 2001 tells a tale of sadness and showcases the deep bond between siblings, represented by stylized cats. The story follows Nyatta, a young cat who loves his very sick older sister Nyako. After a tragic incident where Nyatta accidentally drowns, Nyako’s soul is divided into halves, and they embark on a hellish journey to reunite her soul and restore her fully.
