Approximately 22 million modifications have been downloaded for the game Baldur’s Gate 3.

It’s been about a month since Baldur’s Gate 3 received Update 7 on PC, adding support for Mods, new evil endings, and other changes. The update was released this week on Xbox Series X/S and PS5, but how warmly have Mods been received on the platforms? Very well, according to Larian, who revealed that 1.7 million Mods were downloaded in the first 24 hours.

But in terms of PC player interest in Mods, they are undoubtedly ahead of their platform counterparts, as we previously learned that over a million Mods were downloaded for the PC version in less than 24 hours, and now after a month, the developer confirmed that 22 million Mods have been downloaded since September. Over 200 Mods have been downloaded with Baldur’s Gate 3 toolkit, with more than 768 modders working on it. Perhaps most surprisingly, over 40% of all current players are using Mods.

Although this is the largest update for the critically acclaimed role-playing game since its early access release last year, it is not the last. The development team is still working on improving performance and working on features to enhance gameplay. For example, the studio plans to add co-op play features and a photo mode, although there is no specific timeline for their arrival yet.
